About Oriah Nova

I didn't build this brand to fit into a market. I built it because the market had no space for us.

I'm Oriah - founder, mother, and a woman of Jamaican and Grenadian heritage building something I always needed but could never find.

Oriah Nova is a creative wellness brand rooted in Afrofuturist philosophy, ancestral knowledge, and the radical belief that Black women deserve tools built specifically for them. Not adapted. Not inclusive as an afterthought. Built from the beginning with us at the centre.

The Power of Colour

Colour, for me, has always been personal. It's how I show up for myself - boldly, authentically, and with intention.

Being of Jamaican and Grenadian descent taught me that colour isn't just something you wear. It's a language of joy, survival, and being seen.

There was a time I tried to blend in. To keep it neutral and quiet so I wouldn't draw attention. But colour changed that.

Now it's my way of saying I'm here, even on the days I don't feel ready to be.

It reminds me I don't have to shrink to be accepted - that joy, vibrancy, and self-expression are my birthrights.

So when you see my work, know this: every pattern, every shade, is a small act of defiance and celebration. It's me choosing to live in full colour and inviting you to do the same.

Colour is my prayer. Pattern is my poetry. Design is my way of healing the world, one shade at a time.

Built With One Hand

Oriah Nova was built at 3am when the house finally went quiet. By a woman who refused to let her vision die in the waiting.

I say this not for sympathy. I say it because I know you are building too - in the margins, in the early mornings, in the spaces between everything else you carry.

This brand was made for you.

Carry art. Carry power. Carry your story.
